Rosemary Presbyterian Church
is situated in North Belfast in a constantly changing mixed community
of Protestants, Roman Catholics and members of the Jewish community.
The congregation's history goes back to
1723; the present congregation being a union of Ekenhead and Rosemary
Street congregations which moved from city centre locations in
1929 and 1941 respectively. The present congregation takes its
name from Rosemary Street. The building there was destroyed in
an air raid in 1941 and the congregation moved at that time rather
than rebuild the church in the centre of the city.
